So, what’s so special about TD Athletes Edge?

Meet Tim DiFrancesco, President and Founder of TD Athletes Edge. Tim was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the LA Lakers for six seasons. Since leaving the Lakers in 2017, he and his team have focused on building the unique physical training approach offered at TD Athletes Edge.

Many coaches dream of working with professional athletes and consider this to be the peak achievement in one’s professional career. Yet, Tim had bigger dreams in mind.

TD Athletes Edge focuses on providing performance-based training, nutrition, and recovery for athletes at all levels. Tim’s goal is to help athletes discover their edge through an evidence-based training approach that offers clients clarity, simplicity, guidance, and community.

Why does TDAE require an Initial Assessments before I start training?

  • We require that all incoming clients undergo an Initial Assessment. During this 1-hour appointment, you are evaluated by a staff physical therapist who reviews your health history, movement patterns, fitness goals, injury history, and more.

  • Assessments lay the groundwork for us to create a personalized training program designed specifically for you.

What is a “Personalized” Training Program & how does it work?

  • Once you complete your Initial Assessment, we will work with you to select the membership and training frequency that is the best fit for you.

  • TDAE training programs are designed to be 4 weeks in length and can be designed with 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x training days per week. For example, a 1x/week program means that you train 1x per week and have a total of 4 training sessions during a 4-week period.

  • At the end of each 4-week period, your coach will begin writing your next training program based on your progress and feedback.

How do the TDAE Custom Coaching sessions work?

  • All training sessions are 1 hour in length and are booked on the hour. For example, if you reserve a 4:00 pm training session, your training session will begin at 4:00 pm and finish at 5:00 pm with a coach providing hands-on instruction and supervision in a semi-private format.

  • With a 1:4 coach to client ratio, members are working out in a semi-private environment. Each client is completing an individualized workout in a personal training suite. We believe this is the best of both worlds by offering members both a handcrafted workout program and a community environment.

  • How & when do I schedule workouts?

    • TDAE uses a scheduling app called Zen Planner. Our calendar can be viewed through the app and with one click, members can reserve (or cancel) training sessions. This offers maximal flexibility so that members can freely make adjustments based on their busy schedules and easily keep track of their next workout session.

    • For example, if you would like to come weekly on Mondays & Wednesdays, you have the availability to secure these spots up to 4 weeks in advance (or more depending on your membership).
